Dear Clive
Hope you are well and business is busy. I am happy to report that we have been using our Regular and Super 8 TVT machines happily for around 6 months now and they perform beautifully, we are very pleased we found your company and invested in your equipment. Thank you for designing a building a wonderful product.
We are now looking at expanding our business as were becoming well known for the quality of our transfers in the UK, not just the capture quality but the final edited and authored DVD, which we try to make as professional as possible. We need a price for you for a TVT-16... and what your current delivery lead times is. ...
Lastly, and this is a bit cheeky, but please feel free to use our comments above on your website, if you do is it possible you could put a link to our website on your testimonial page, we are trying to build up back links to increase our page rank which is a measly 2 (yours is 4). The more traffic we get means more business and more orders for TVT machines!
By the way, saw you in Super 8 today magazine, nice article, nice to see your picture!
Thanks Clive, look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards
Ian Litchfield

Carl Easlick (USA) reports that he is willing to talk to prospective purchasers:
Greetings Clive, I have both of your 8mm machines & love 'em! Saving me a lot of time & grief too.
Yes, Please put me on the "waiting list" as I definitely do want the 2 speed (16mm) machine! I have been in the Motion Picture Theatre Exhibition business / some Film production / and broadcast business for most of my life, and I want you to know that after having taken a "peek" inside the 8mm machines when I received them, I could not have asked for a more professional construction job, and the PC boards & wiring are excellent!!!! Finer work could not be found anywhere!

Clive,
The TVT-8 just arrived -- much quicker than I had expected, by the way.
Let me extend my congratulations on a fine piece of engineering and execution. With only 50-feet of film transferred, let me say that I am already very impressed. Tomorrow I'll be doing hundreds and hundreds of feet more! I can't wait!
The whites don't blow out as I had feared they might, colors are great - even red was treated politely and came out great. The image is sharp. I did not need to use the manual exposure control as I found that I was no better at controlling the IRE than the unit was itself. I may have to find allocation in my budget for a regular 8mm version sooner than I had planned. The S8mm version is wonderful.
Feedback for your team: The rewind and takeups might have a bit too much torque muscle, and it would be nice if, as in the days of reel-to-reel tape decks, the takeup was arranged to let go when the film is finished so that it doesn't slap the film tail around if one is not quick at the switch. A simple light path sensor perhaps built into the left nylon guide post or something could do that. (I know, cost, cost, cost... .)
Your execution of the silk screen front panel and the silky sound and motion of the unit are all a tribute to good engineering, both electronic and mechanical.
I was a little apprehensive of a board camera, but this one is quite good.
My only complaint is that the sprocket guides are extremely difficult to clean. I'll just deal with that.
If you'd like to quote me to potential clients or refer them to me for reference, feel free. I assure you, they'll hear nice things.
Please extend my congratulations on a fine accomplishment to your entire team there in Spokane.
Sincerely,
Bob N., P.E.

A video expert in Belgium wrote to give us his evaluation:
Hello Clive,
I have received the demo DVD yesterday. It plays fine both on my computer and on my TV.
I am very impressed! The result is much better than I tought. I do not understand why I do not see more about your units on the Filmshooting forum. The auto exposure works very fast and very fine. I see it takes only a few frames to adjust automatic at scene change.
You have made a wonderful machine, congratulations. Having a business myself for years, I clearly see your machine is a money maker and a time saver. The only unit I know of that does the same is the Flashscan8. But the price makes me dizzy :)
